Take time to think

Did you miss receiving my article last week? Sometimes silence can be so powerful. It gives you a chance to breathe, contemplate, connect or reconnect and think more effectively.
How can you make these ideas most effective in life? Here's a few of my tips for you :)
Active listening - try it for yourself. When you are next having a conversation with someone, appreciate some silence between words or give the other person a chance to speak with more freedom and clarity.
Passive listening shows less interest, disconnected body language and is listening without reacting. You may be desperate to give your opinion and not interested in hearing what the other person has to say and not paying any attention.
So instead give them your time, eye contact, and smile and nod. It will be appreciated.
Take a photo for inspiration - the photo in this article was taken by me in a moment of silence in my recent visit to Antalya in Turkey.
The calm of the sunrise really stimulates me and spurs me into action. Get up 30 minutes earlier than normal and see how productive you can be, particularly if the other members of your household are still sleeping.
Contemplation - give yourself 10 minutes a day to have your own space. In that time don't communicate with anyone or anything. Put phones and gadgets down. Perhaps put your phone on airplane mode so you won’t get disturbed. Pause and think.
Decision making - silence can help you connect or rediscover what you really want. Give it a try. Inspiring ideas can cross your mind. I found when I am having a hot bath, fundamental ideas will pop into my mind as I am left undisturbed. Give your mind a chance to breathe and refresh.
Mindfulness - this is so important for our wellbeing. Being silent and grounded in your mind and body collectively can really stimulate relaxation and creativity. Look up some simple mindfulness meditation exercises on Google and try and incorporate it into your routine.
And ask yourself these questions:
How much unnecessary noise do you have in your life?
What kind of noise would you struggle to live without?
Why is being silent so difficult sometimes?
WhatsApp me to discuss these ideas further. We can tailor a plan of action especially for you. What changes can you make that will let you start eliminating some noise from life? You deserve to make the right changes for you!
“Silence isn't empty, it's full of great answers”
Keep sending your feedback to me. It means a lot.
Life is good,
Lisa
