Time to relax and reflect!

Welcome to my first article.
I hope that you find these both an interesting and inspiring read.
I have been overwhelmed by messages, comments and congratulations. The support has been amazing.
I often find the sea inspiring - it is calming and gives one a chance to reflect on things. The sounds of the waves has an almost hypnotic effect and can relax our bodies and minds. The water itself feels crisp and refreshing.
It is good for us to know that the mind and body effect each other. Not only does the sea accelerate your ability to absorb oxygen, but it also naturally increase your levels of serotonin, the key hormone that stabilises your mood, feelings of wellbeing, and happiness.
There are also techniques such as mindfulness meditation which I recommend as a good way to start and end the day. It is great for visualisation, by visualising we can improve our perspective on things. It is great for our wellbeing which in turn helps us to make more informed decisions.
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Apps like calm, balance and headspace are great to stimulate this.
This requires us to pay attention to the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the present moment. Another important part of mindfulness is an awareness of our thoughts and feelings as they happen moment to moment.
Life coaching is often about getting your client to identify the resources they already have and how to use them with confidence. All things are possible with the right attitude and strategy. We can go through some strategies that will get you where you want to be.
As a life coach, I will help you to define your goals, discuss your options and come up with action steps to take next. It is a real discovery of self. You deserve it!
