Life enhancing exercise
Keep active & know how to unwind

Following on from foods that motivate our active minds, I would know like to discuss how exercise and physical activity aid our motivation.
Exercise is proven to increase levels of dopamine, which helps heighten your mood and regulate your brain as discussed in last week's food article (https://lisajosephlifecoaching.beehiiv.com/p/brain-food). Dopamine helps to regulate and increase your motivation by sending “feel-good” signals to the brain.
Whether you go for a walk to soak in some fresh air, go for a swim, work out at the gym or play with your children in the garden, exercise can help you stay healthy, improve strength, increase your energy, promote creativity and improve your sleep. High intensity exercise stimulates hormone production which in turn makes us feel younger and happier. Keeping active stimulates the blood flow to the muscles and organs in our bodies making them work more effectively.
Yoga has become a popular exercise to decrease stress, support mindfulness, weight loss, and improve the quality of our sleep. I recently subscribed to an app called withu. It is an audio fitness app. I have access to thousands of workouts from many different coaches from across the globe that I can use when out and about, in the gym or at home. Examples on the app are stretching activities, total body mobility, and yoga exercises like breathe and balance. The selection is endless.
“Exercise not only changes your body. It changes your mind, your attitude and your mood”
“Physical Fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity”
After all that exercise and movement, we need to wind down for the evening and ultimately for our sleep. As well as taking on yoga or pilates, here are a few tips to help you sleep well and in turn perform better in your daily life:
1. Reduce screen time an hour before you intend to go to bed
2. Take a warm bath with lavender oils or lavender enriched bubble bath. Lavender bath bombs are a lovely alternative- it is always a treat for the senses. I love the look, feel and smell of the bubbly foaming water and the sensory smell fills the bathroom. It will help to relax those muscles as well.
3. Take 5 minutes to meditate to help relax you off to sleep

Lavender bath bombs work wonders to relax us ready for bed
Our productivity requires us to look after our bodies to increase our mind and life capabilities. Exercise and sleep are essential components for this.
Be in touch to discuss how I can enhance your productivity levels and what the next steps should be for you to be the best you can.
Life is good,
