Take small action steps to ace the day

We all know the saying “Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today!” And “if you want something done, ask a busy person.”

Many of us live demanding lives. There is a skill to be able to prioritise and tick things off our ‘lists’ for the day and week ahead.

It's time to stop procrastinating and increase your productivity. We can all get overwhelmed by what we need to do day to day. By breaking them into smaller tasks, we will get more done.

By breaking tasks down and committing to get a little done at a time, rather than waste time about how you are going to fit everything in, you’ll surprise yourself about how much you will achieve in a day.

A few things to remember when you are going about your daily tasks in the day and to increase productivity are:

Start the day right - begin with a wholesome breakfast, work out or run to get your mind and body active for the day ahead. Mindfulness will relax you and keep you focused.

Have a physical list to tick off - Write it all down. It will make you satisfied to see what you have achieved through the day.

Prioritise the most important and urgent items -This can be done on paper or use a planning or list app. I like using google keep notes. Also, refer to my article https://lisajosephlifecoaching.beehiiv.com/p/prioritise-and-focus for more on this.

Don’t be afraid to work out of your comfort zone - think creatively and challenge yourself at least once in your weekly routine. Try something different.

Allow yourself to make mistakes - it is good for your overall outlook on life. No one can be right all the time! Don’t let it get in your way to be productive today.

Be self motivated - keep focused on the job at hand. Set limits to tasks.

Take short breaks - this will aid your efficiency.

Celebrate your achievements - when you appreciate your good work, you will feel even better about yourself and positive about the life you lead.
